Rent the Opera House

If you are looking for a unique venue to hold your performance, meeting, reception, wedding, or other special event, look no further than Stuart’s Opera House. Stuart’s is available to host all kinds of special events.

One of America’s most charming and intimate theatres, Stuart’s Opera House has the capacity of 395 in the second-story theatre and 75 in our Lobby (street level). Set on Nelsonville’s Historic Public Square, the opera house offers many services and equipment for your special event. These include:

  • Event coordination
  • Tables and chairs
  • Caterer facilitation
  • Ticket printing and sales
  • Technical support including lighting and sound
  • Dressing rooms
  • House manager, ushers, and ticket takers
  • Intermission refreshments

The theatre is rented on an hourly or daily basis. Prices for theatre rental vary according to event. Please view rental fees below. For details and specifics about renting the beautifully restored Stuart’s Opera House, please call 740-753-1924.

Stuart's Opera House offers rentals of our second floor theater, our downstairs lobby, or the entire space.

Staffing and cleaning costs will be added to all rental prices.


Miscellaneous
Event cost will be estimated in the contract.
If renting the theatre after 5:00pm, a minimum five hour rental is required.
Professional sound and lighting are available for additional costs.
Projector and screen in theatre are available for additional costs.
Any special/additional clean-up or repair caused by the renter's use of the facility will be billed to the user at full cost.
