Stuart's Opera House Guild


The Stuart's Opera House Guild is the main volunteer organization at Stuart's Opera House, helping to make these shows happen by volunteering their time to USHER, TAKE TICKETS, SELL REFRESHMENTS, and SELL MERCHANDISE. In addition, Stuart's Opera House Guild members may also be called on to help in other ways at events. Volunteering at Stuart's Opera House is open to all, but Guild members are those who have volunteered at many events and have specific training and experience in the various jobs mentioned above. Those who are interested in becoming new volunteers at Stuart's can e-mail Brian Koscho at New volunteers can help with cleanup after the show and setup before a show, while also gaining a sense of how Stuart's Opera House productions work and the different jobs and volunteer opportunities available. When first becoming a volunteer we ask that you come help with cleanup and setup a few times, and also attend volunteer trainings (offered every so often) for the specific jobs at a Stuart's performance. We also believe in a system of new volunteers shadowing and working with experienced volunteers at events before being considered a full member of the Guild.

Some of the duties include:
*Acting as ushers during events
*Hand out programs/take tickets
*Run concessions
*Operate merchandise sales
