Stuart’s Opera House believes that the arts should be enjoyed by all.
We are committed to making our theater and community spaces welcoming to every guest by offering a range of accommodations that ensure equal access to our venue and the arts experiences within.
ACCESSIBLE ENTRANCE
Stuart’s Opera House at 52 Public Square Gift Shop entrance requires patrons to navigate two steps from the Gift Shop to enter the lobby. An alternative accessible entrance is located just north of the Gift Shop entrance, allowing patrons to access the Grand Lobby without the need to navigate any steps. Additionally, there is an accessible entrance to our community spaces located at 30 Public Square.
The entrance to the Box Office is at sidewalk level and is accessible. Tickets may be purchased in person at the Box Office, by phone at 740-753-1924, or online at stuartsoperahouse.org. Patrons with special needs may purchase tickets with cash or with a credit card to the same extent that tickets of the same type and location are available on a cash or credit card basis to other patrons.
ACCESSIBLE SEATING
There are designated seats in the theater for guests who require wheelchair-accessible seating. Accessible seating is limited and a request for accessible seating does not guarantee availability. Guests must use their own wheelchairs or other mobility devices.
Tickets are available upon request and subject to availability. Patrons should identify the need for wheelchair / limited mobility seating when purchasing tickets by phone with the Stuart’s Opera House Box Office at 740-753-1924.
There is no limited mobility accessible seating in the Balcony at Stuart’s Opera House. If you have purchased a ticket in the Balcony and need accessible seating, please call the Stuart’s Opera House Box Office at 740-753-1924.
ACCESSIBLE RESTROOMS
Accessible restroom facilities are located on the main floor in our Grand Lobby. Additionally, accessible restrooms, including an all-gender restroom, are located in the back hallway, and at our 30 Public entrance.
ELEVATORS
An elevator is located at the entrance to the historic theater. This provides access to the main floor seating level. Please be informed the balcony is not accessible. An additional elevator is available in our back hallway, providing access to our backstage, dressing rooms, and the education center.
PARKING
For patrons with accessibility needs, we have a dedicated handicap space available on the Public Square.
SERVICE ANIMALS
Registered service animals are welcome at all Stuart’s Opera House events. If you intend to bring a service animal to a performance, please notify the box office at the time of purchase so that an accessible seat may be reserved for you.
