About Paint & Pour:
Paint & Pour is a monthly instructional painting series held in the grand lobby of Stuart’s Opera House. Each session, participants will be guided through the process of painting a unique design by an experienced instructor. Participants can redeem drink tickets or purchase beverages throughout the evening at the bar. Paint & Pour provides a way to get connected to your community and flex your creative muscles in a fun, judgement free environment!
Meet your instructor: Luke Boyd
I am a painter, baker, and cake decorator working and living in Athens, OH. I received my Bachelor’s degree in art from California State University Bakersfield in 2015. I spent 4 years learning to paint during the day and learning to bake at night through an apprenticeship. In 2019 I graduated from Ohio University with my MFA in Painting. I have taught courses in painting and drawing with Ohio University and have done cake decorating classes with community youth. I am represented by the Emergent Art and Craft Gallery in Columbus as well as JCO’s Art House in Los Gatos, California.
Do I need to bring anything?
All you need to bring is yourself! We provide everything: paint, canvas, brush, and a talented artist to lead the class.
How much does it cost?
You have three options, each of which provides you with ALL of your painting supplies:
- *$30 – painting only, no beverage included
- *$35* – painting, 2 glasses of wine or beer (or another non-alcoholic beverage)
- *$40*- painting, 2 glasses of wine or beer (or another non-alcoholic beverage), PLUS a Stuart’s Opera House wine glass to take home with you!
- Each additional alcoholic beverage will be $5. There will also be non-alcoholic options as well.
