ATCO Idol began 11 years ago as a small performance event at ATCO in Athens, Ohio. Idol is a truly inclusive experience that brings people with disabilities and without to collaborate and be part of the show! What started as a small senior daytime program activity has grown into an annual community event. ATCO Idol will feature 22 performers with a variety of songs throughout the evening. Each performer is unique and will make a choice of a song that they would like to perform on the Stuart’s stage. As you listen to the song in the background and hear the performer sing, it will guarantee a smile. Watch their transformation from an ordinary individual to a super star right in from of you on the stage! ATCO Idol gives people the chance to hone their talent and share their gifts in a way they often are not given a chance to do.

Leslie Perry and Chris Biester coordinate the event and the preparation for ATCO Idol takes several months to make sure everyone has practice time and is ready for their big night!
