Brick Monkey Theater Ensemble invites you to a family holiday fundraising event for the development of a new play celebrating Southeast Ohio’s rich coal mining and labor union heritage. You know the classic Charles Dickens story A Christmas Carol …. but what if old Eb Scrooge owned the mine? Brick Monkey presents a staged reading of Act One of An Appalachian Christmas Carol featuring live music by Rattletrap Stringband. This is the kickoff of a year of development to fully-produce the play in 2012 and beyond. Come join us for an evening filled with theater, music, and dessert. We promise this is the beginning of a Christmas holiday tradition at Stuart’s!
