This annual contest offers something for you whether you play or just enjoy fiddle playing.

The contest is nationally certified with the National Oldtime Fiddlers’ Contest held annually in Weiser, Idaho. This means the Grand Champion will be eligible to compete in that prestigious event.

For more information, visit their site at fiddlecontest.com. More information and tickets are available by calling 740-753-1924 or visiting www.stuartsoperahouse.org. Tickets also will be available at the door beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday.

Old-Time Fiddlers compete in four age groups: 12 and under, 13-18, 19-54, and 55 and over. Prizes and ribbons are awarded the winners of each group. Winners of each division continue to the championship round, and compete for the title of “Grand Champion,” as well as an additional $300 and a plaque.
