Old Time Music Week reflects the rich traditions o Old Time Music Week reflects the rich traditions of music and storytelling of our Appalachian Foothills Region. Join us for classes from expert musicians in the morning, concert, workshops in music and craft, jamming and square dancing in the afternoons and evenings. Featuring artists such as John Harrod, Jesse Milnes, The Possum Queens, and Golden Shoals as well as workshops in folk herbalism, dance calling, African Drumming and more! This summer at Stuart's, we're honoring the music, This summer at Stuart's, we're honoring the music, culture, and diversity of our home in the Appalachian foothills. This Friday at 7 pm, join us in person or virtually from our Youtube livestream for "Women Speak", an evening of story, poetry, and song, hosted by Ohio Poet Laureate Kari Gunter-Seymour. This special event features a lavish mix of Appalachian female voices—reflecting diverse backgrounds, ages, and experiences—every voice raised in tribute to Appalachian endurance, honor, courage, love of family, community and the land. Looking forward toward August, Old Time Music Week (8/8-8/12) is a part of the Arts Education program which reflects the rich traditions of music and storytelling of our region. With classes from expert musicians in the morning, and concerts, workshops, jamming and square dancing in the afternoons and evenings, there's a little something for everyone.
