Meet John Harrod, our advanced fiddle instructor f Meet John Harrod, our advanced fiddle instructor for our Old Time Music Week (both virtual and in-person options) on August 9-14. John has been documenting, playing, and teaching Kentucky music for 45 years. He performs with Kentucky Wild Horse, a band that connects many strands of Kentucky music including old time songs and fiddle tunes, bluegrass, original songs, and hillbilly swing. Join us for the art opening of Deep in Ohio, a sho Join us for the art opening of Deep in Ohio, a show by Savannah Freeman of Moonville Print Shop. Savannah's work is inspired by the natural world and almost exclusively features plants and animals native to Southeast Ohio. The opening will be on Friday, July 2 from 5pm to 8pm. It is free and all are welcome!
In the midst of the pandemic, the House and the Se In the midst of the pandemic, the House and the Senate worked together in an overwhelmingly bipartisan fashion to Save Our Stages, and thanks to you, the $16 billion emergency relief bill was signed into law on Dec. 27, 2020. You knew that if emergency relief wasn’t provided to our shuttered small businesses which had no revenue and massive overhead, not only would there be mass bankruptcies across the country, but we could also never return to our role as economic engines for our local communities. Sadly, the help Congress secured for us by enacting the Shuttered Venue Operator Grant (SVOG) program has yet to arrive. While the rest of the country begins reopening, our businesses cannot reopen – not because of COVID-19 – but because we are still waiting on emergency relief from the SBA to provide us with working capital to hire back employees, pay back rent, put deposits on bands and productions, order food and beverage to serve patrons, among other necessary costs of reopening. We come to you once more to ask that you reach out to the White House and SBA to urge them to do whatever possible to get this funding into the hands of small business owners to Save Our Stages.

All are welcome to join us for the first show of our free Summer Concert Series. Our bar and gift shop will be open. Doors open at 6:30pm and the show starts at 7pm! Help us spread the word!
